conservation of food

Government of India has launched another bill through ordinance that is food security bill and debate is going on every channel with panel of experts about its credibility and with some issues like inflation, public distribution system management, about its corruption level. In fact, every bill has pros and cons, so it is better to leave it on experts to decide about it. But for common man what he can understand that food security bill is for providing food to poor people who cannot afford it at higher prices. In short, there should be no one in this country who will die because of hunger.

Is there insufficient food in our country? NO, there is inefficient use of it. Like, lack of high quality storage system, big fat wedding, etc. As we always say its all failure of government. YES, for storage system it is right, but what about big fat weddings system of India, Which we Indian religiously follow. OK, there is nothing bad in celebrating our happiest moment with our close one but to get blind in our celebration is not good. We give invitation to 1000 people and make facility of food for 1200 peoples. Generally we do this to be safe in terms of our ego, status, and etc. but at the cost of wastage of food of near about 300-400 peoples. And strange is that we serve food to those people who has sufficient availability of it, let it go its everyone’s personal matter. But we don’t have the right to waste food by which someone can survive. It is not matter about poor or rich, every Indian family follow this except some reformers who are trying to change this concept. Why to wait for this reformers to change whole system, start by you and make their work easy. So think on food conservation.

  1. the main problem is " Unemployment " , instead of providing food security if government provides work to those unemployed peoples there will be no need to pass any such type of food security bill, all this food security bill is just another step for mission 2k14.
